Our New York office in the heart of SoHo is growing fast and we’re on the lookout for a killer Design Director.
We are looking for an experienced integrated designer, a typography wizard who enjoys solving complex marketing problems through creative thinking and design. Someone who has both the passion and dedication to take projects from sketch to final production. Working at SET means you are comfortable thinking conceptually but also have meticulous attention to detail.. Above all else, we are looking for a Sr. Designer who shares in our belief that what separates a mediocre brand from a great brand is relevance, creativity and beautiful design.
  • Concept and collaborate with our Creative Directors, Designers, Copywriters, Strategists, Motion Designers, and Tech Leads
  • Work with Account Managers and Planners to ensure creative is on brief and brand
  • Oversee the creative process to produce great work
  • Nurture junior designers, providing them with direction and constructive feedback
  • Articulate and defend conceptual and design choices with the ability to juggle multiple projects and delegate work effectively
  • Proactively communicate with stakeholders and lead meetings to ensure that expectations and deadlines are met
  • You’ll be working with junior designers but this is a hands-on, roll up your sleeves role
  • You’re comfortable articulating concepts and distilling design theory to clients
  • Become the bastion/champion/defender for our all guidelines.
  • 5-7+ years of Graphic Design experience
  • 2+ years managing junior creatives
  • Bachelor’s or higher in Design or Fine Arts.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience conceptualizing, designing and producing multi-platform brand campaigns and visual identities
  • Retail, environmental and/or wireless carrier experience a strong plus.  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborative spirit and desire for constant improvement
  • Willingness to travel, flexibility in schedule
  • Appetite for Friday catering and Thursday cocktails
